Demonstration: ‘Ikebana, Driftwood and me’
For our December program , one of our senior teachers, Ms Nirmal Nehra, invited the Sogetsu members to her beautiful home.
She had displayed some flower arrangements in her verandah and she demonstrated some.
Her theme was ‘Ikebana, Driftwood and me’. All the material that she used- green material and well as flowers- were from her garden.
She has a big collection of driftwood which she has been collecting over the years.
She agreed to sell some of her collection and the members were very happy to get them.
She had laid out a sumptuous tea for everyone and it was a very enjoyable morning in her beautiful garden.
There were about 40 members and guests who attended the program which was enjoyed by all.
