The festive season with beautiful ikebana arrangement

Demonstration: “Festivity through Ikebana”

In the midst of the holy Hindi festival season,  Ms. Divya Ansal, a senior member/teacher of the Sogetsu New Delhi Branch showcased her artistry.

As October is the month of festivals and friendship, we invited the members of Delhi Ikebana International also. Ms. Maho Hakamata of the Japan Information and Culture Centre , Embassy of Japan, was the Chief Guest.
There were more than 75 members and guests who enjoyed the demonstration.

Ms. Divya Ansal captured the feeling by using vibrant colours and bold and dynamic lines. Red, yellow, green, orange and gold are the festive and auspicious colours which she used in the arrangements.
She used various greens like ficus lyrata, painted heads of the umbrella palm, banana leaf,monstera leaves etc. then combined these with bold coloured flowers like chrysanthemums, helicona,gladioli and orchids.
Some of the leaves were sprayed gold and silver to give e a festive look.
