【Workshop】“Slit Paper”

Our very first program/workshop!!  We did have rave reviews!!

Inspired by photos from a Judy Hata previous study group workshop. Sara Gilstrap, one of our board members, talked with  Mrs. Hata about  the size and weight of the paper.

Sara Gilstrap that hand cut all the paper and did the demonstration is 91.
Mrs. Hata that inspired this fun program is at least 94.  I think Sogetsu/Ikebana must be a healthy addiction in one’s life.

Nineteen members of our newly formed Colorado Springs Sogetsu Study Group joined and attended this event.  They arrived with lots of enthusiasm starting to twist and turn their sheet of paper before even setting their purses and bags down.
