Columbus OH Sogetsu Branch Workshop

The Columbus Sogetsu Branch organized two workshops back after 16 months of no activity.

The first one was held on 6th July.

They had a review of basic upright design and reverse upright. We also reviewed the slanting design.

They used viburnum branches and chrysanthemums for the designs.

The teacher was Michelle Rogers.

The other one was held on 3rd August.

They made the compositions of foliage free style design.

Plant material consisted of sago palm, flax leaves, aspidistra leaves and other types of palm leaves.

We tried some different leaf manipulation techniques to makes the leaves and designs more creative.

The teacher was Jan Stein.
