【Demonstration/Workshop/Exhibition】Celebrating Sogetsu in Jordan

The Yuuma Study Group ,Jordan, held the combined special program in September, celebrating Sogetsu Ikebana in Jordan.

We invited Master Instructor of the HQ,  Ms. Sanae Maeda on September 29 in a beautiful setting at the private garden of Mrs. Ghada Bdeir . Ms. Maeda demonstrated 7 arrangements showing the avant-garde trend introduced to the art of Ikebana by the Sogetsu Iemotos.

Two days workshops were held at The Bristol Hotel on Sept.30 and Oct.1 .
5 themes from book 5 were studied and practised ; Compsition expressing movement, Relief works , Seasonal plant materials ,composing with branches , Tsuribana and Kakebana . 19 participants joined the workshops.

The exhibition at The Abdali Mall ,the most luxurious mall’s in Amman,on Oct. 2 ,3 and 4 . The members of Yuuma Study Group displayed a large arrangement size 2 x 3 meters. Sogetsu Flyers published by Sogetsu HQ translated into Arabic were distributed to the public . The display attracted a lot of interested people who showed admiration and increased the awareness of Sogetsu Ikebana.
