Gift Wrapping- the Japanese Way-with Ikebana

Ms Atsuko Watanabe-Jhakar gave a very innovative demonstration.
With her nimble fingers she showed how to gift wrap various articles with various kinds of paper and also showed how to use and gift wrap with Furoshiki.
Finally we requested her to gift wrap an Ikebana which she did with her deft fingers in Furashiki.

It was indeed a memorable program and nearly 55 members and guests attended the program.

Ms Hiramatsu, wife of HE The Ambassador of Japan was the Chief Guest and Ms Hayakawa, Director, Japan Information Centre, was also present.

For the memory of late Ms Leela RajkumarThe, the board members had made about 15 Ikebana.
