Ikebanist : Shoryu Tabuchi

Shoryu Tabuchi(Master Instructor of the Sogetsu HQ)
I discovered a beautifully expansive lily-of-the-valley bush and decided immediately to craft this ikebana work centering on it. The remaining flower materials I selected were rich with autumn hues, featuring bountiful fruiting Chinese quince and heavily cascading pomegranate.
Balancing the center of gravity back and forth for these two weighty fruiting materials posed a significant challenge. To complete the composition, vivid red cockscomb was scattered delicately to accentuate this arrangement.
