Ikebanist : Seiko Ozawa

Seiko Ozawa(Master Instructor of Sogetsu HQ)
As the starting point for this piece, I chose Japanese witch hazel, which blooms in early spring when it is still cold, with small ribbon-like petals clinging to the branches. The buds here are still too hard to determine whether they are yellow or red. I am eagerly waiting for them to bloom beautifully in the warm air of the Japanese Room.
Until then, the scarlet Japanese quince placed in the center will support it. I neatly finished the base using Hinoki.
