In the Japanese room on the fifth floor of the Sogetsu Kaikan, seasonal ikebana works are constantly on display for public view.

I created an expression of a refreshing breeze passing through by running the split bamboo pieces around the massive round bamboo.
The cutout bamboo parts were decorated as Tanzaku (paper strips) for the Tanabata Star Festival in a wish for world peace.
