Celebrating the 30th year of Akane Junior Class, an ikebana exhibition by the students titled, “I LOVE IKEBANA: Binding hearts together” will be held at the Tamagawa Takashimaya Shopping Center.
Come and enjoy the event together with the “Autumn in Sogetsu” exhibition.
About Akane Junior Class
Akane Junior Class held at Sogetsu Kaikan is dedicated to children.
Students of different nationalities aged between three and eighteen enjoy learning ikebana together.
Initiated by Iemoto Akane Teshigahara in 1989, the class offers an opportunity to children to learn about plants, touch them and combine them in a work. It is designed to experience the joy of creative art. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the class.
Instructors guide the children with care to develop their personalities by letting them express themselves freely in words and artwork.

Iemoto Akane and the children will give a performance to chime in with the audience.
